Today, June, 14, 2026 – Regent of Star Mountain, Mr Hetkan Spei Bidana visiting to Kiwirok sub district, his homeland too. He wants to meet government staff in Kiwirok Sub District including part of his family, brothers and sisters. Actually, that visited was looking about preparing the committee will commemorate Indonesian independence on August 17th is coming soon in this year. He talked in front of them and he said, I was coming for meet all of you and informing about how to prepare yourself and others before on August, 17th 2026 it will be welcoming soon. He saying thanks for all of you are coming to Kiwirok Sub District and helping my peoples in here. This is my homeland, I born and grew up in here, but when I became to Regent until now no development because of the case in many years ago. I will be becoming inspector of ceremony of 17th August 2026 will welcoming soon.
But from now we must look personality safety and following positive activities, as like helped young generation going to school and study. Because by school they can changes mind set and looking for their future life. By the school they will become good leaders and helping another people in the future. He said, we have integration school in Oksibil capital city of Star Mountain Regency. That is why we must prepare our children for study in that is school because will be implement Ap Iwo/Iwol curriculum. That curriculum was designed by Papuan expert according to mapping culture areas in our regency territory. We will promote that is curriculum to the central government. The important news too we have The Papua Okmin University in Oksibil, so everyone must go to study in our university because my target in 2035 above our peoples has been educated and push growing economic sectors and others.
And the other information, I hope in 2028 hay way from Oksibil to be able to connect into Kiwirok and also connect Batom Sub District into Kiwirok from Jayapura. About that I always communication with Province government and central government in Jakarta because those hay ways were national and international hay way. That is why we must be united and support government programs implementation in our homeland, because long time we were lost.
I already very understood and always thinking if international hay way from Jayapura to Merauke connected by our regency and most people will be visit us because we have quality water and central water supply to South, North, East and Western of this island, green coffee, international level stadium, The Papua Okmin University, Kukuperip School integration and Ap Iwo/Iwol curriculum, many kinds of traditional dances, snow mountain of Juliana Top, and other unique beautiful panoramas. That is why we must prepare ourself from now and build education sector, economic, politic, culture and other sectors so that our children and grandchildren can survive in the future.
